The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ward 1, Iwo, Iwo Local Government of the State of Osun, Mr Raji Kabiru, has claimed that the votes recorded for Governor Adegboyega Oyetola in the ward was inflated by 437 votes.

According to Kabiru, the actual votes gotten by Oyetola in the primary election of the ward is 163, while Adeoti got 215.

Kabiru said there was accreditation before voting, stating that some PDP members were also brought to vote for Oyetola.

He said: “When the returning officers came to my ward, we asked for the result sheet but they said they did no bring it. There was nothing with them to show that they wanted to conduct election. We insisted that they should conduct accreditation but they did not do that.

“Alao Kamoru, the factional secretary of the APC and other people working for Governor Oyetola were bringing people from other places, including PDP members to come and queue for Oyetola.

“At the end of the day, they counted 215 votes for Adeoti and 163 for Oyetola. But when they wanted to make official announcement for the election, they declared Oyetola winner with 600 votes. They have inflated it with 437 votes.
