Uproar Over Buhari’s Comments Over Nigerian Youths Being Lazy And Other Trending Headlines For Today

There is an outrage over the comment of President Muhammadu Buhari at the Commonwealth Business Forum in London where he said most of the Youthful Population of the country are not educated and expectant of government to give them the basic amenities to survive, a situation that has got Nigerians both on mainstay and New Media talking though on the President.

THE GUARDIAN and NIGERIAN TRIBUNE lead with the story reporting that Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose called on the youths to show Buhari that they were not lazy and uneducated by voting against him in 2019. He said it was painful that the president could describe youths in Nigeria that were daily struggling to make a living under a harsh economy as lazy people.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), also in a statement by its spokesman, Kola Ologbondiyan, yesterday, stated that Nigerian youths, by their demonstrated industry, could not in any way be described by anybody as lazy.
