In the early Thursday attack on the house of the popular Yoruba rights activist, Sunday Adeyemo aka Sunday Igboho, his wife and some others have been whisked away by the unknown gunmen who invaded the residence.
According to a statement signed by Emeritus Professor Banji Akintoye, the leader of the umbrella body of Yoruba self-determination groups, Ilana Omo Oodua, titled, ‘Yoruba Nation: Elements of the Nigerian Army, Accompanied by International Terrorists hired by the Nigerian State attacked Sunday Ighoho’s Residence’.

He further said that “the gunmen killed seven occupants in the building and whisked Igboho’s wife and several others away.”
The invasion came barely 72 hours to the Yoruba Nation rally slated for Saturday in Lagos which will have in attendance, the duo of Akintoye and Igboho.
