An Osun State Police command has arraigned a 26 years old woman, Temilola Ogunyemi and Abiodun Olaniyan over alleged stealing of fish valued at N3,120,900.
The accused persons who are facing two count charges bothering on theft pleaded not guilty to the charge preferred against them.
Police Prosecutor, Adegoke Taiwo said the accused stole some assorted parks of fish, property of Jordan Betsay Fisheries Igbonna, Osogbo.
He stressed that the defendants conspired to commit felony to wit stealing, thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under section 516 of the criminal code cap 34 vol. 11 laws of Osun State of Nigeria, 2003.
Adegoke had told the court that the accused committed the offence between the month of June 2017 and July 2018.
The defence counsel, T.B Ayodele holding brief for Okobe Najite prayed the court to grant his clients bail in the most liberal terms.
The Magistrate, Mrs. Modupe Awodele granted the bail to the accused in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties.
One of the sureties must be a civil servant not below Grade Level 10 and should swear to affidavit of means.
The case was adjourned to September 14, 2018 and is to be mentioned at the Magistrate Court three, Osogbo.
