In a recent development following the ‘Ganusi’ controversy, renowned Fuji musician, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate, has sought the intervention of traditionalists to nullify curses placed upon him by certain Islamic clerics.
Osun Defender reports that the dispute arose from remarks made by the singer during his late mother’s Fidau prayer, which many clerics found offensive.

A viral video circulating on social media platforms captures K1 De Ultimate in the company of traditionalists performing rituals aimed at reversing the imprecations.
The traditionalists, adorned in customary white attire, are seen chanting incantations and making symbolic gestures to counteract the maledictions pronounced by the aggrieved clerics.
Osun Defender recalls that the controversy began when a video surfaced showing K1 making comments perceived as derogatory towards Islamic scholars.
Despite public outcry and calls for an apology, the musician has steadfastly defended his statements, asserting that they were misinterpreted and that he harboured no ill will towards the clerics.
