THE State of Osun Police Command has arraigned three security guards before an Ede Magistrate Court for stealing cables worth a sum of N2,200,000 in Ido-Osun.
The suspects, Abdullaeef Sulaimon (40), John Babatunde (29) and George Nnamdi (22) were accused of stealing 25ms of 150mm and 20ms of 70mm of cables belonging to their employer.
According to the charge sheet read in court on Tuesday, the defendants committed the offence between August 15 and 18, 2022 at G.S Agriculture L.M.T Ido Osun branch.
The alleged offence contravenes Sections 516, 390 (9) and 515 of the Criminal Code, Cap 34, Vol. II, Laws of Osun State, 2002.
Defence counsels, Kasia Mobi Nwoke and K.A Adepoju prayed the court to admit the accused persons to bail on liberal term, promising that they would provide reliable sureties.
In his ruling, the presiding Magistrate, I.R Ladipo admitted the defendants bail in a sum of N300,000 and two sureties each.
The case was adjourned till October 13, 2022 for hearing.
