Taawun Security Nabs Group Of Armed robbers In Iwo

Some suspected armed robbers have been caught by the Al-jayshu Islamy, the security arm of the Jama’at Taawunil Muslimeen, in Iwo, the Headquarters of Iwo local government area of State of Osun.

According to a press release issued by Taawunil Media and made available to OSUN DEFENDER on Saturday, the release claims that the suspects on the midnight of Friday, January 7, 2022, attacked Daarul Hijrah Phase 2 in Iwoland, and broke into an apartment of one of the residents where an undisclosed sum of money, a motorcycle and a car were carted away.

However, the stolen car, motorcycle, and other documents according to the release were later recovered at the scene of the robbery.

It was learnt that one of the prime victims of the robbery (known as Jayshu) while trying to prevent the robbers from escaping, was hacked with a cutlass in causing him serious degree of injuries.

One of the suspects was caught during the operation while the rest were traced to their hideouts.

In the said hideout, another batch of the armed robbers were waiting in the bush to drive away the car, if the robbery had been successful.

They were eventually arrested in the hideout and later handed over to the men of the Nigeria Police, Adeeko in Iwo.
