In the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, authority of a primary school has arrested a man posing as a parent of school pupils while trying to pick them up from the school.
In a viral social media video, a staff in the school narrated how the man arrived at the unidentified learning facility and requested to see a non-existing teacher.
The staff said he got suspicious of him when he started mentioning names that were irrelevant.
The suspect was also said to have authoritatively demanded to take a set of siblings home, claiming to be their father.
The man, suspected to be a kidnapper, was asked to prove his connection with the said children, but he couldn’t and rather became infuriated and threatened to withdraw the said children from the school.
The video showed that members of staff of the school had surrounded the man to prevent him from leaving until the real father of the children arrived at the scene.
The original parent of the pupils in question, demanded that the suspect should explain the reason for his action.
The suspect who could not say in clear terms his reasons and intents, was later handcuffed by a security personnel on mufti attire and was taken away from the venue.
