Sunday Igboho’s Aides Released After 61 Days In DSS Custody

Eight of the 12 aides of Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Igboho, have regained their freedom, after 61 grueling days in the custody of the Department of State Services on Monday.

The released detainees are Tajudeen Irinloye, Dikeola Ademola, Abdullateef Onaolapo, Ayobami Donald, Uthman Adelabu, Raji Kazeem, Taiwo Tajudeen, and Olakunle Oluwapelumi.

However, the DSS refused to release Amudat Babatunde, Abideen Shittu, Jamiu Oyetunji, and Bamidele Sunday, claiming that they were heavily involved in the alleged offense of arms stockpiling and other criminal activities of Igboho.

Barrister Pelumi Olajengbesi, the lawyer of the accused while addressing a press conference after their release in Abuja, insisted that the remaining four of his clients must be freed because they had been granted bail by the court.

Olajengbesi also insisted that the DSS must also account for the two associates of Igboho killed during the bloody raid on Igboho’s residence on the 1st of July, 2021.
