Stop Harassing Our Members, Osun APC Warns Opposition

The Osun APC has issued a strong warning to elements being used by the opposition in the state to intimidate and attack its members to desist immediately from such acts.

The statement was issued in response to reports of coordinated attacks on APC strong hold in Ede.

Thugs under the employ of the PDP candidate, Ademola Adeleke had on Saturday laid siege on new members of the APC who had joined the party along with former Speaker of the House, Rt Hon Adejare Bello.

Reports say thousands of Adejare’s supporters are now keen to vote for the APC, a development that has not done down well with the PDP.

The thugs that attacked APC members in Ede were armed with machetes and clubs. Only the timely intervention of security agents avoided the loss of lives as many APC members were wounded by PDP thugs.

The Osun APC has reported this matter to the State police command who have vowed to fish out the perpetrators of this dastardly act.
