Several Left Dead After Communal Clash In Cross River

A renewed communal clash in Akamkpa local government area of Cross River State has claimed about ten lives.

According to reports the clash was caused by the alleged killing of a man, who was intercepted at Uyanga on his way to Ojor with ammunition. He was said to have been killed by the people of Uyangha and his vehicle set ablaze.

The people of Ojor on getting the information mobilized themselves for a reprisal. The clash, which commenced on Christmas day has led to loss of lives, including that of a policeman, with several houses set ablaze.
