Self Help: Boripe LG Communities Construct Bridge

Heavens help those who help themselves was the maxim that was applicable to residents of Ajibode and Anaye Communities, Iragbiji, Boripe Local Government area of the state, as they constructed a bridge that links Anaye through collective community efforts.

The efforts, according to a statement by the Senior Information Officer, Boripe Local Government, Mr. AbdulLateef Adeniyi were made with a view to ensuring easy movement of vehicles in the communities.

Secretary of Ajibode community said a sum of N1.5 million was spent on the project.

He charged the government of the Local Government under the chairmanship of Hon Oye Adebayo to reimburse the community with the money spent on the  bridge, with a view to using it for other projects that are in pipeline.

Having seen the commitment of the both communities in the area, the council chairman commended members of the community for the effort made to complement the government efforts.

The council chairman, during his tour of the project, in company of his cabinet members, the council manager, heads of department, instructed the HoD works to start the grading of the road to complement the effort of the communities.

Baale of Ajibode, Chief Fasansi Ayantoye and his counterpart Baale Anaye, Chief Kola also thanked the council boss for the kind gesture extended to the two communities and they  promised his administration their unalloyed support.
