Security Of Citizenry, Our Priority – Council Boss

The Executive Secretary of Ede North Area Council, Owode Ede, Mr. Lawal Raji has said that the security of lives and properties of the citizenry of the local council area is the top priority of its administration.

In a chat with OSUN DEFENDER, the Executive Secretary said, in a bid to ensure the safety of traders at Owode market, the local Government had commenced work on the separation of illegal buildings along the road, as well embarking on the perimeter fencing of the market, so as to dissuade display of wares on the main road, which, according to him on several occasions had led to loss of lives in the market.

Raji eulogised the effort of the state government in bringing government closer to the people of the grassroot through the creation of Local Council Development Areas in the state, saying, this would promote the development of both natural and human resources for the growth of the state and nation at large.

On the resources in the council area, Hon Raji beckoned on youths to take advantage of the agricultural potentials in the area for agricultural purposes, saying that the council area is blessed with enough land for agriculture.

He then urged the citizenry of the local government to pay their taxes, as this is the way to support the government in provision of infrastructure for the benefit of the people.
