Ramadan: Salinsile Greets Muslims, Calls For Sustained Prayers

 

The Secretary of All Progressives Congress (APC) in the State of Osun, Hon Rasaq Salinsile has congratulated Osun Muslims on the commencement of this year’s Ramadan fasting.

He called on Muslim faithful across the country to use the period to pray to Allah for sustainable peace and unity in the country.

In a statement personally signed and made available to newsmen in Osogbo, Salinsile said Ramadan period is about recompense, piety and separation from sin; we must therefore be ready to offer sacrifice of prayer to Almighty Allah who has made Ramadan a blessing for us.

He also stressed the need for the Muslims observing the fasting to see the period as a unique opportunity to reflect on their past with a view to seeking forgiveness from Allah (SWT).

“Let us continue to offer prayers for the peace and progress of Osun, Nigeria and nations of the world”.

“As a Muslim, I believe so much in prayers, especially the ones offered during Ramadan because this is a period of purification, when a Muslim is expected to show piety in all areas of life.

“I congratulate my fellow Muslims for witnessing this year’s Ramadan and pray that Almighty Allah grants us the grace and good health to witness the end of the fasting period and to witness many more Ramadan,
