Public Office, A Clarion Call To Selfless Service – Oyetola

 

Governor, State of Osun, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola has said that positions of authority should be seen by occupants as a clarion call to patriotism, loyalty, humility, fear of God and selfless service to the people.

Governor Oyetola stated this on Tuesday while swearing in the newly appointed Secretary to the State Government, Prince Oluwole Oyebamiji, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Dr Charles ‘Diji Akinola and the Deputy Chief of Staff, Mr. Abdullah Adeyanju Binuyo.

The Governor referred to the three positions as not only pivotal but equally the brain box and engine room of the present administration, adding that they are expected to be creative and proactive while discharging their responsibilities.

Mr. Oyetola charged the new appointees to generate ideas that will be of immense benefits to the people who reposed trust in his administration and the state at large, enjoining them to equally justify the confidence reposed in them.

In his response on behalf of the appointees, the Secretary to the State Government, Prince Wole Oyebamiji thanked the Governor for the opportunity extended to them to serve their State, promising that they are ready to commit their time, energy and resources to uplift the Land of Virtue.

Prince Oyebamiji assured the Governor that they will not rest on their oars at ensuring that they bring their experiences to bear, give direction and guidance for the vision of the present administration in the State of Osun to be realized.
