ISAAC OLUSESI writes that in the 2019 election to the House of Representatives from Ijesha-South Federal Constituency in Osun, Nigeria, Prince Wale Adedoyin is the candidate to prefer in view of his requisites.

He promises to be active and masses-centric in all legislative matters, stating that his areas of focus for legislation will cover agriculture, youth empowerment, women empowerment and repositioning, health facilities rehabilitation and rural transformation among others that also include security, tourism and mining development. And particularly as a matter of duty, he pledges to initiate and invigorate bills that will encourage small and medium scale enterprises to reduce the gap between the rich and the poor in his constituency if voted to represent his Ijesa-South Federal Constituency in the 2019 House of Representatives election in Osun.

That is Prince Adedoyin out there for you, a credible aspirant, reliable and transparent, willing to represent his people in the green chamber of the National Assembly. A well-equipped and serious-minded Wale Adedoyin, always ready to serve his people is best qualified to get the mandate of the four local government council areas that make up the federal constituency.

The immediate past Commissioner for Agriculture & Food security (2011-2014) in the government of the incumbent Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun, Adedoyin successfully led his ministry through the challenges of having to oversee improvement in the cash and food crops, livestock and poultry potentials as well as grants in loans, fertilizers and other farm inputs to farmers in the state. He rehabilitated all the farm settlements across the state. And consistently driven by proactive leadership and demonstrative commitment to the set goals of Osun government, Adedoyin promoted collaboration among his Ministry’s agencies and coordinated implementation of Osun Fishery Out-grower Production Scheme (OFOPS) and Osun Broiler Out-grower Production Scheme (OBOPS), the mainstay of supplies to the state school feeding programme (O’Meals). He transformed the attitude of the civil servants in his ministry towards doing the hard yards, re-fired their sensitivity to the efforts of the government at making Osun the food basket of the South-West, Nigeria; while he also worked in tandem with other Ministries to deliver cost effectively on the corporate objectives of the state government.

Adedoyin served on several technical committees either as chairman or member and attended conferences and workshop in Nigeria and overseas. He has long distinguished his impeccable organizational ability in astute management of human and material resources in the private sector of the national economy. He is Chairman/ Chief   Executive Officer, Auto-Networks Investments Limited, Lagos, set up and nurtured by him to an award winning company that has continued to contribute its quota to the development of the transport sector in Nigeria. He had his mandatory National Youth Service in Osun State College of Education, Ilesa in 1995 after his graduation from the University of Lagos where he obtained B.SC Geography & Planning in 1994. He went back to the same university and picked   Masters of Science (M.SC) Geography, with specialization in Transport in 1997.

Adedoyin hails from Ilesa in Ilesa West Local Government in Ijesa-South Federal Constituency, he is also presently Chairman /Chief Executive Officer, DE BUKATERIA, Ilesa with outlets in Ibadan, Oyo State and Ayobo, Ikotun in Lagos State. He is a businessman, philanthropist and politician who once lived and worked in Australia for years and has travelled wide, across the globe.

Adedoyin was a member of the defunct Action Congress (AC), later Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) and now All Progressives Congress (APC). He had earlier made his dive into politics and leadership in his school days, then as a Senior prefect Boy, C&S High School, Ilesa, Osun State; Welfare Secretary, King Jaja Hall, University of Lagos; and Secretary-General, Geography & Planning Student’s Association, University of Lagos.  Progressively since then , he has been actively committed to youth and women emancipation for better life and living through sustainable empowerment and restive philanthropic gestures; using his Eyiyato platform, an outgrowth of his investments from his shares in blue chip companies.

Contrastingly, Eyiyato is a recurring decimal in real mobilization of practical support for Hon. Adedoyin’s steady progress in politics. He was a delegate, AC National Convention (October 2010); Vice-chairman, ACN Australian Chapter; coordinator, ACN party Registration Exercise (2010) Supervisor Voters’ Registration  Exercise, Ilesa-West Local Government Osun State (January 2011); Ward Supervisor, April 2010 General Election; Member, ACN General Election Campaign Committee (2011); Member, APC Ijesa-South Federal Constituency Campaign Committee for Governorship Election (August 2014); Chairman, APC Ijesa-South  Federal Constituency Campaign Committee for General Election (March/April 2015); and lately, Coordinator, Ilerioluwa Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola Governorship Project, Ijesa-South Federal Constituency (2018), Secretary Ijesa-South Federal Constituency Campaign Committee for APC Governorship Candidate, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola (2018).

Adedoyin has an array of accolades, laurels from communities, student bodies, faith-based groups and academic institutions for his noble public service and philanthropic actions that have over the years included financial and material assistance to women and the aged; scholarship awards to the indigent students in tertiary schools, self-employment take-off grants to youths; donations to community launchings; growth and development grants to churches and mosques; and he has offered employment to many qualified job seekers.

All of that has made the people of Ijesa-South Federal Constituency believe that he has the capacity and skills to flag the constituency in the House of Representatives and no mixed feelings about it. He has very good communication skill with oratory in English and Yoruba Languages, sound knowledge of federal, state and local statutes with great compliance ability, competence at solving problems with ease and wits; and has laudable interactions with others in a team.

Adedoyin, a man of popular conviction of his credibility, integrity, exposure and reliability, one who will neither abandon his constituents nor play politics with the welfare of the people of his federal constituency is a candidate to prefer in the forthcoming election to the House of Representatives from Ijesa-South Federal Constituency.
