A 35-year-old-Man, Saheed Muhammad has been arraigned on Tuesday before an Osogbo Magistrate Court in Osun State over alleged fraud of N230,000.
Saheed, who is facing a two-count charge bothering on fraud and stealing, pleaded not guilty to the charges preferred against him.
The prosecutor, Inspector Jafani Muslim told the court that the accused committed the offence on August 16 at Oloye Irorun compound, Sabo area, Osogbo.
Jafani explained that, the accused fraudulently obtained a sum of N230,000 from Kunle Olayiwola with pretence of supplying him three hundred bags of charcoal.
He stressed further that the accused person stole N230,000 belonging to Kunle Olayiwola.
He submitted that the offence is contrary to and punishable under sections 419, 383 and 390 (9) of the criminal code cap 34 volume 11.laws of Osun State 2003.
The defence counsel, Mr Remigus Ngwu urged the court to grant the accused person bail in the most liberal and affordable terms.
The Magistrate, Mrs. F A Sodamade admitted the accused to bail in the sum of N200,000 with one surety.
She added that the address of the surety should be verified by the police and the case was adjourned to April 24 for hearing.
