People We Gave Our Mandate To Are The Major Reason of Insecurity in Nigeria – Gov. Yahaya Bell

The Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello has said that elected political office holders are the main cause of insecurity in Nigeria.

The Governor said this at the National Security Summit organized by the National Association of Nigerian Students, (NANS) in Abuja on Thursday.

Yahaya Bello explained that if political office holders are delivering the dividends of democracy in their various domains, the various security issues Nigeria is currently battling with will be a thing of the past.

He enjoined the youths to vote for credible and dependable candidates that can deliver in the coming election.

The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology Owerri, Professor Nnenna Oti who is the guest speaker at the event said corruption and unemployment are the banes of insecurity in Nigeria.

According to her, she has a dream that Nigeria will soon get it right and overcome its challenges.
