Governor Seyi Makinde has sent names of three nominees to be screened and confirmed as commissioners to the Oyo State House of Assembly.
Though details of the trio were sketchy as as press time, it was learnt that Makinde had forwarded the names immediately after the Assembly screened and confirmed the 14 nominees earlier sent by him.
After confirmation, the trio, alongside the 14 previous nominees, would be inaugurated before Friday.
This newspaper further learnt that one of the nominees, a woman, hails from Iseyin while another one, an Ogbomoso-born professor, was said to have been nominated by a former leader of the House of Representatives, Hon. Mulikat Adeola-Akande. The identity of the third nominee is yet to be known.
It is, however, not sure whether nominees of Sen. Olufemi Lanlehin and the Zenith Labour Party ZLP, made it this time around.
Sources who confirmed the development to newsmen said that the nominees are already at the premises of the Assembly, waiting to be screened.
