The Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, has decried the Ademola Adeleke-led administratiom for converting the Sustainable Development Goals Skill Acquisition Center built in his Iragbiji hometown, to a camp for the state owned football team, Osun United.
The minister, who bemoaned Adeleke over the development, frowned at a situation while the facility aimed for the economic benefit of residents will be converted a camp for Osun United, stressed that he had taken the matter up with the promise that the community will take back its property.
Oyetola, the immediate-past Governor of Osun State stated this at the 2023 Iragbiji Day, on Saturday.
He said, “It is very unfortunate that the projects that meant to allow our youths to acquire skills are now being turned into camp for football. I don’t have problem with football but you can’t convert the facility that is meant to assist our youths in the area of skill acquisition to camp.
“It is unacceptable. I believe that the Federal Government will do what is right to ensure that the purpose of creating the centre is achieved.”
