Osun Poll: Buhari, Oshiomole, Tinubu, APC Govs Call For Continuity

As the September 22nd governorship election approaches in the State of Osun, President Muhammadu Buhari, has implored people of the State to vote for the continuity of the All Progressives Congress, APC, at the polls.
Buhari with a host of others including the National Chairman of APC, Adams Oshimole, former Governor of Lagos State, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, incumbent Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode, Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu, Governor of Ogun State,  Ibikunle Amosun, Governor of Oyo State,  Abiola Ajimobi, among others, made this plea during the party’s mega rally in Osogbo on Tuesday.
Buhari who lauded Aregbesola’s developmental strides especially on education, urged the good people of Osun to vote for the continuity of such good works.
He also revealed that the Federal Government has concluded plans to construct the road from Osogbo through Ilobu to Ogbomoso.
In his address, Oshiomole also canvassed votes for the candidate of the party, Isiaka Gboyega Oyetola.
In his words, “I want our people to come out en masse to vote for APC come September 22, we can guarantee the good people of Osun that the good works of the innovative Governor Aregbesola will continue.
“Much has been accomplished by Aregbesola, he has made huge progress and changed the face of Osun, not only Osogbo and government is all about impact and performance.”
Also speaking, Tinubu while applauding Aregbesola, assured the people that the party had chosen someone that can continue his good legacy.
According to him, “Aregbesola has committed so much to radical transformation and development of Osun in the areas of education.
“He has done us proud and we are happy that he wishes to hand over to a highly competent, educated and brilliant gentleman in person of Oyetola.”
Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State who spoke on behalf of the other Governors, stated that Aregbesola had been able to transform Osun positively despite the financial challenges.
“Aregbesola has done incredible works in Osun in very difficult circumstances. We are very proud of Aregbesola’s administration and we are very confident that our candidate will win so that the progress will continue to expand,” he added.
Speaking briefly, Aregbesola appreciated the support of Mr President, party chieftains and other Governors, also expressing confidence that the party will win the governorship election.
“We have changed the face of Osun and we are returning Oyetola and Benedict as Governor and Deputy Governor. By God’s grace, our party will be voted for come September 22.”
