Osun Police Begin Search, Rescue Operation On Abducted Chinese Nationals

The State of Osun Police Command have begun operation search and rescue on two abducted Chinese Nationals namely: Messrs Zhao Jian ‘m’ aged 33yrs, and Wen ‘m’ aged 50yrs at Okepa/Itikan Village, the gold mining site in Ifewara, Osun.
This was disclosed in press statement released by Police Public Relations Officer, SP Yemisi Opalola on Tuesday in osogbo.

According to the statement, “Consequent upon the incident of 5th April, 2021 around 4:00pm, where a gang of criminals attacked and abducted two Chinese Nationals namely: Messrs Zhao Jian ‘m’ aged 33yrs, and Wen ‘m’ aged 50yrs at Okepa/Itikan Village, the gold mining site in Ifewara, State of Osun in which two (2) of the private guards were shot at and have been taken to the general hospital for treatment.

“Sequel to this report, the Commissioner of Police, CP Olawale Olokode immediately drafted a strong combined reinforcement of Police Tactical units, JTF, and other security outfits who have embarked on search/rescue operation of the two abducted Chinese persons and possible arrest of all the fleeing criminals,” she added

The Commissioner of Police urged members of the public to support, co-operate, and collaborate with the Police in fighting crime to bring it down to the barest minimum, by providing us with creditable and prompt information as he promises to rescue the abductees unhurt.
