Osun NUJ Chair Bags State Merit Award In Investigative Journalism

The Osun State Governor, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola on Wednesday decorated the state Chairman of Nigerian Union of Journalist, Comrade Kehinde Ayantunji with the award of “Excellence in Investigative Journalism”.

The award is in recognition of Ayantunji’s excellent performance in the discharge of his duty as a professional journalist.

Speaking after receiving the award, Comrade Ayantunji appreciated the governor and charged pen pushers of the state to continue to uphold ethics of journalism.

He however, urged journalists to desist from playing politics with their profession saying the world relies on them as the watchdog of the society.

The event also saw other awards to other distinguished indigenes of the state in different sectors.
