Osun Electorates Enjoined To Exercise Civic Duties

By Sikiru Obarayese

Eligible Voters in the state of Osun  have been urged to come out enmasse to exercise their franchise in the Saturday gubernatorial poll in state.

The chairman Osun Good Governance Forum (OGGF), Adebayo Abagun made the call on Monday at the group Secretariat in Osogbo.

Abagun  said by refraining from performing their civic duties they are giving room for bad leaders to be elected.

He urged the people of Osun to vote APC on Saturday to ensure continuity of the good work of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.

He said, “ except we don’t want to be sincere with ourselves Aregbesola has done quite well in the state. He has touched all area of our lives by building motorable roads, building and rehabilitation of schools, he has been feeding school pupils as well.  Aregbesola has fruitfully engaged our youth.  To repay this good deed we should vote in APC”.

He added that among the candidates vying for the position, Gboyega Oyetola of the APC has proven himself to be fit into the shoes of Aregbesola who has raised the bar of leadership in the state.

He continued, “Aregbesola’s administration is a good example of a good governance and we will continue to support him and his candidate which is Alhaji Oyetola for continuity.
