The State Governor of Osun, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola has urged the people of the state to pray and support the government in its efforts to achieve greatness.
This was contained in a statement released by Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Adelani Baderinwa and made available to OSUN DEFENDER in Osogbo.
He said, Mr Governor called for the prayer in bid to celebrate the creation of the state that will clock 26 on Sunday, August 27, 2017.
According to the statement “The Governor has therefore requested that all mosques across the state should make Special Prayers tomorrow at the Jumat Service.
“Also, the Governor requested that all Christians across the state should use Sunday for Special Prayers for the state.
“The need for the Special Prayers is to underscore the goodness of God to the people and environment of Osun since it was created.
“It is not only the inspiration of Governor that can make massive and rapid developments witnessed in the state possible but greatly that of God”.
It was also noted that the special prayer is meant to further seek the face of God for the protection and wellbeing of the people of the state and for more development, progress and peace of the state.
“I thank all the people of the state for their support and corporation, just has asked for the collective efforts of residents and people of the State towards realising the dream of its founding fathers”.
