Osun 2022: Eventual APC Guber Flagbearer Unknown, But Will Win – Bisi Akande

The Former Governor of the state of Osun, Chief Adebisi Akande has said he is not sure who the flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress for the 2022 Osun governorship election will be.

The former APC Interim National Chairman was however quick to add that, whoever emerges as the party’s candidate will win the July 16th, 2022 governorship election.

Akande was speaking to newsmen after the end of the Osun APC elders caucus meeting known as “Igbimo Agba”, which took place in his Ila-Orangun residence on Tuesday.

In his words, “I don’t know who our candidate may be in the forthcoming guber election, but I can assure you that our candidate will win the election in 2022.”

The former governor also spoke about the crisis in the state chapter of the party, he insisted that the crisis within the Osun APC will be resolved before the election.

He said, “We are doing all our best to resolve every crisis. I can assure you that there will be no crisis within our party before the election. We come from different constituencies in Osun and we are going back to let our people know we have started to be more active than before”.

Those present at the Ila meeting include; ex-deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Hon. Lasun Yusuff, Senator Ajibola Basiru, Prof. Mojeed Alabi, Senator Iyiola Omisore, Titi Laoye-Ponle, Dr. Isaac Adewole, among others.
