Osun 2018: APC Campaign Ends On Thursday – Spokesperson

The All Progressives Congress in the state of Osun has announced the conclusion of all campaigns today Thursday, September 20, 2018 for Saturday’s governorship election.

This is contained in a statement by Kunle Oyatomi, the Director of Publicity, Research and Strategy, Osun APC.

Oyatomi advised all media outfits not to allow any jingles of the party or its candidate, Gboyega Oyetola as from midnight today in line with the electoral guidelines.

“The All Progressives Congress in the state of Osun, hereby formally announces that we have ordered all our operatives to end all advert placements, jingles , writeups or any other form of campaigns for and on behalf of ourselves, APC, or the person of our candidate , Adegboyega Oyetola, in any print or electronic media within and outside the state of Osun from midnight tonight, Thursday, September 20, 2018.”

“This is in compliance with the electoral law which bans all campaign or any form of advertising for or on behalf of the party or its candidate. Any individual or media outlet that places an advert or a campaign material will be on his or her own (including the media for the party will not take responsibility on any such act as from midnight tonight.”

“For the avoidance of doubt, we repeat that nobody or media should advertise or campaign for APC and its candidate from Thursday midnight, September 20th, 2018.”
