OSEMA, NEMA, Donate Relief Materials to Victims of Ife Violence

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) in collaboration with its counterpart in the state, Osun State Emergency Management Agency (OSEMA) having assessed the scene of the crisis at Sabo Area in Ile-Ife had made the donation of some relief materials
worth billions of naira to the affected victims.

The Zonal head of the operation of NEMA comprising Ondo, Ekiti, and Osun States, Mr. Akiode Saheed disclosed this while presenting the materials to the leader of Hausa Community, represented by Alhaji Malami Nasidi in Ile Ife.

Mr Akiode said that, the materials were brought as part of the quick intervention response so as to serve as succour to the affected victims.

He further stressed that, NEMA’s presence in Osun is also to
complement the effort of the giant stride of the amiable Governor of
Osun, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola through the State Emergency Management Agency.

The South West Zonal Commander of NEMA, Mr Akiode and TPL Oluyemi Olarewaju (General Manager of OSEMA] both advised the resident of Ife to be more cordial in their human relations and avoid any
behaviour that can cause mayhem and confusion in the area.

Some of relief materials presented include: mats, mattresses, buckets, beverages, rice, vegetable oil, footwear, towels, clothing materials, toilet soap, mosquito nets, and lots more.
