The Chairman, Olorunda North Local Council Development Area, Ota-Efun, Hon. Quadri Owonikoko has lauded the council’s workers for their support towards the actualisation of the council’s development.
He gave the commendation at a prayer session to host workers of the council, the first of its kind since the creation of the LCDA.
Owonikoko who promised to ensure that his administration is committed to the welfare of workers in the LCDA appreciated them for the cooperation and endurance during the construction of the council secretariat, saying without their cooperation he would not have achieved that much within the space of three months.
Stating his commitment to take good care of his workers within the available resources, he said it would be done in such a way that the developmental projects in the Local Government would not be affected.
The prayer held for the successful tenure of Owonikoko administration was led by Ustadh Rauf Lukman and Pastor Olaore Segun.
While speaking, the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) Chairman in the council, Comrade Okesola appreciated the council boss for being a partner in progress, which has translated to the hosting of an end of the year get-together, as well as distribution of gift items to workers.
The NULGE Chairman sought his people’s unalloyed support, diligence and dedication to their work, just as he noted that the workers will always look up to him for many other things for the successful running of the NULGE office.
The Council Manager also urged the Chairman to let the love of workers be paramount in his administration, saying the workers also need to be cared for, just as he thanked the council boss for being a good listener to both the workers and the people.
