Ogunbiyi Tasks Nigerians On Forgiveness, Sacrifice In Easter Message

Dr Akin Ogunbiyi, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party in Osun State has urged Nigerians to imbibe the spirit of forgiveness, sacrifice and perseverance.

The PDP chieftain said this in his Easter goodwill message on Friday signed by his Press Secretary, Ismail Afolabi admonishing Nigerians to care for each other and live in unity.

Ogunbiyi emphasised that Crhist-like attributes are parts of the necessary solutions to the challenges facing the nation and mass of her people.

His words, “as we celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ who offered Himself as a sacrifice for the sins of the world, we must not forget to acknowledge that Christ’s resurrection is not just a testimony of the new covenant.”

“It symbolises the triumph of life over death, ease over suffering, and hope over fear. Therefore, as we celebrate the season, we must not throw away the inherent lessons to the wind. The lessons are guides to life.”

“As a people, we must appreciate Christ’s worthy sacrifice and be grateful for our existence. Our faith, love for God and our nation should be strengthened. Let’s imbibe the spirit of forgiveness, sacrifice and perseverance.”

“Let us celebrate this season with peace and great positivity. May God fill our homes with love, happiness and the abundance of hope that Easter represents. Happy Easter!”
