OGUN 2019: Chieftains Of Ogun Central PDP Declare Support For Sen. Adeola

As various groups and individuals declare support for the governorship ambition of Senator Solomon Adeola aka Yayi for Ogun 2019 governorship race, a group of PDP chieftains from Ogun Central Senatorial District has declared “total support for the Senator”.

Led by Aare Tunde Alabi two time commissioner in Ogun State, the group have other notable leaders including Engineer Akeem Adesina, three time chairman of Obafemi Owode LGA and immediate past chairman of PDP, Ogun Central; Alhaji Moruph Ajisegiri, two time chairman of Abeokuta North LGA and former majority leader of OGHA; Chief Fohunola Abiola, a leader from Ewekoro LGA, Alhaji Saula Makinde, one time assistant Treasurer of PDP, Ogun state; Chief Oluwole Adeyi , former SA to Ogun State governor and Assistant State PRO of PDP ; Alhaji Nurudeen Olaleye, SLG to Abeokuta south LGA and Alhaji Lai Shobayo, a leader of PDP.

Speaking on behalf of the group at the end of their meeting with Senator Adeola, Aare Alabi traced the history of PDP crisis in 2011 and 2015 and the numerous court cases with frivolous judgments that led to electoral failure for PDP stressing that it is time to support a candidate that can win election and be in government come 2019.

“ By the special grace of God, a Yewa man will be the governor of Ogun State in 2019 and we believe that the person is Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola aka Yayi. We are supporting him fully for the race on any platform he decides to run” Aare Alabi stated.

He said by 2019 he hopes to be in government and not just a party man as the numerous crises of PDP since 2011 has led most of them to be only party men instead of being in government adding that he is not going to wait till 2019 for another failure which is why they are moving in early to an aspirant that they believe God will use to get them to government in 2019.

Earlier on, Senator Adeola has welcome them to his residence and inform them that he is presently engaged in wide consultation across the state on the need to take the state to a better level adding that God’s perfect will shall come to pass in Ogun State in 2019.

Among those present during the visit are Rt. Hon. Tunji Egbetokun, former speaker of Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Tunji Akinosi former Commissioner for Agriculture in Ogun State, Hon. Tunde Olaotan, former Consultant to Governor Ibikunle Amosun, Hon Daadah, former LGA chairman of Ijebu Ode among others.
