Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi has said that late Comrade Yinka Odumakin left behind a legacy of speaking truth to power and campaign for restructuring of Nigeria.

According Fayemi, Odumakin was a nationalist without apology, in spite of his commitment to achieving regional government through restructuring.

He said Odumakin was not a secessionist but a man that was passionate about Yoruba race and agenda

Fayemi said: “Odumakin defended the defenceless relentlessly. He spoke for the voiceless.

“He left the legacy of speaking truth to power and unrelenting campaign for restructuring. This country has challenges. This country needs rescuing from the evil merchant. We must not succumb to the merchant of division. We must not give the evil merchant the basis and justification for all they are doing to run this country down.”

“This country needs restructuring and rescuing from those who want to bring it down.”
