Obiano Still In Our Custody, Moved To Abuja — EFCC

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has revealed that former governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano, is still in the custody and he has been transferred to Abuja.

This was revealed by EFCC spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren, who told the press that the former governor was moved to Abuja on Friday morning.

This is contrary to reports on Friday that Obiano had been released after he was arrested in Lagos shortly after the swearing-in of his successor into the Anambra State government house.

He was said to be on his way out of the country.

Obiano and his wife have been in the news since Thursday after his wife and Bianca Ojukwu, wife of Chukwuemeka Ojukwu, fought during the swearing-in ceremony of Chukwuma Soludo as Anambra governor.
