NPFL players have disclosed their clubs are yet to pay them salaries for months.
The league has been on indefinite suspension since Nigeria recorded its first case of COVID-19 in March.
According to the players who preferred anonymity, Katsina United (5 months), Sunshine Stars ( 3 months), Heartland FC, FC Ifeanyi Ubah are among the clubs yet to offset the salaries of their players.
Reports say the players are disturbed as the effect of the novel Coronavirus continues to ravage the economy of the nation with most of them likely to find it difficult to cope.
However, the Chairman of Katsina United told newsmen claims the only player owed is the player who was on beach soccer duties with the national team in the period.
“The only player owed salary will be the player who did not resume with us for three months because he was with the beach soccer team in the period.”
