Nigerians Express Concern Over Supreme Court Fire Outbreak, Question Judiciary’s Transparency

Scores of Nigerians have taken to their social media handles to react to the fire outbreak that gutted a section of the Supreme Court early Monday morning.

OSUN DEFENDER recalls that the Public Relations Officer for the Supreme Court, Festus Akande has said the cause of the fire was electrical issues from one of the Chambers of the Justices and was put out with the use of fire extinguishers.

Reacting to the incident, scores of Nigerians on X (Twitter) stated below;

@‪Shehusky: BREAKING: Supreme Court complex on fire. They want to destroy some relevant documents to cover up their crimes. Nigeria has been captured by criminals.

@onechucx: So, with all the money spent to build that complex, they don’t have fire alarm and smoke detector sprinklers?

@eyeweysee01: Evidences are burning. We know this tric

@larozee10: Dem don dey set all the evidence ablaze. Nigeria my country.

@ebukedaniel1: Lol.
Important files necessary for some future court cases will be ‘gone’ with the fire

@AmasLincoln: I hope the documents in respect of the Presidential Election appeals by Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar were not destroyed in the obvious sabotage presented as fire outbreak?

@Mama_Zita_PObi: Is it not to tell us that evidence and files were burnt by fire?
