Alhaji Ibrahim Balarabe, the State Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure disclosed that N290 million has been allocated by the Niger Government for the installation of a 33KVA dedicated line from Minna transmission station to Chanchaga Water Works.

In an interview with News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Minna on Tuesday, Balarabe said that “So far so good. I am very please with the level of work so far as the project has reached about 50 per cent completion”.

The commissioner explained that the state government embarked on the project because of its commitment to providing potable drinking water in the metropolis.

He said that the project, if completed, would ensure 24 hours water supply to all parts of the Minna metropolis.

Balarabe pointed out that provision of potable water for human and animal consumption would continue to be the administration’s top priority.
