Moses Scores Brace In Gent Massive Win

Super Eagles winger Moses Simon netted two penalty kicks in the first half for KAA Gent in their 3-0 win against Eupen in the Belgian First Division A clash decided at the  Ghelamco Arena on Tuesday.

Japanese forward Yuya Kubo scored first for Gent less than three minutes into the game, before Simon completed the rout with his two spot kicks in the 36th and 38th minutes respectively, as the game ended 3-0.

The brace took Simon’s goal to three in the league this season. Meanwhile, other two Nigerians, Anderson Esiti and Samuel Kalu tasted full-time action and both bagged yellow cards in the 53rd and 72nd minutes intervals in the game.

In another encounter, forgotten Nigerian striker Joseph Eneojo Akpala picked the starting shirt for KV Oostende but was later substituted in the 84th minute, as Oostende defeated Sporting Charleroi 3-0.

With the 3-0 win, Gent currently occupies the 12th position with 13 points from 12 games played so far in the ongoing season.
