Mass Exodus Hits PDP As 656 Members Decamp To APC In Ile Ife

By Sodiq Lawal
About 656 members, including chieftains of the People Democratic Party from Ife Central and Ife Central West local government have defected to the All Progressive Congress(APC).
The defectors cited confusion, lack of focus and no desirable agenda of PDP for the people, as the reasons for their decision.
The Secretary of APC in Ife Central Local Government, Hon Olufemi Francis confirmed to our correspondent on Friday that about 656 PDP members have decamped to APC within last month.
He accompanied leaders of the PDP to receive the returnees at the party secretariat at Enuwa road in Ile Ife, said the PDP had shown to Nigerians and the Ife people that it had no agenda to make progress possible.
As regards the governorship elections, he assured party members not to panic as the APC remained intact and would ensure the defeat of the PDP  in State of Osun.
He said “The APC government in Osun under our watch has placed the state on  the path of peace,  prosperity, and development.
