Manchester City have congratulated Algeria captain, Riyad Mahrez, after the Desert Foxes defeated Sadio Mane-led Senegal to win the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, in Egypt on Friday night.
Mahrez is currently plying his trade with the English Premier League champions.
Algeria defeated Senegal 1-0 at the Cairo International Stadium to lift the 2019 AFCON trophy.
Baghdad Bounedjah scored the winner in the second minute, after his effort was deflected into the net.
