Man U Or Chelsea, Who Has The Biggest Fan Base In Nigeria?

Manchester United and Chelsea are two of the most successful clubs in England with fans based all over the world.

The two teams have the highest fan base in Nigeria with their fans always showing their superiority in viewing centres whenever their teams are playing.

Whenever the two teams are on show either playing one another or other teams, their fans are always at their loudest.

While some will argue in favour of Manchester United being the club with the biggest fan base in Nigeria, others will go for Chelsea as the club with the highest fans.

Commonly referred to as Man United, Manchester United Football Club, is a professional football club based in Old Trafford, Greater Manchester, England. The club competes in the Premier League, the top division in the English football league system.

Nicknamed the Red Devils, Man United have won a record 20 top-flight league titles, 12 FA Cups, six League Cups, 21 FA Community Shields, three Champions League, one UEFA Europa League, one UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup, one UEFA Super Cup, one Intercontinental Cup and one FIFA Club World Cup.

Sir Alex Ferguson is the club’s longest-serving and most successful manager of the club.

Manchester United is one of the most widely supported football clubs in the world with over 650 million fans worldwide.

Although things are not going well on the footballing side of the club at the moment, yet, their fan base keeps increasing.

Chelsea Football Club on the other hand is based in Fulham, West London.

Domestically, Chelsea has won six league titles, eight FA Cups, five League Cups, and four FA Community Shields.

Internationally, the club have won the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Europa League, the UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup and the UEFA Super Cup twice each, and the FIFA Club World Cup once.

Chelsea have a global fan base of 135 million, second only to Manchester United.

Fans of Chelsea and Manchester United football clubs always battle for superiority whenever they are at the viewing centres.

The two club supporters in Nigeria are always in their loudest voices whenever their team is playing.

Even when their teams are not playing, supporters usually have verbal clashes and their voices are louder than fans of the teams on show.

Most of the viewing centres in Nigeria, findings have revealed are populated with Man United and Chelsea fans.

Even on social media, the two clubs’ fans are always on to one another trying to assert their presence.

It will be difficult to pick who has the biggest fans between Man United and Chelsea but one certain thing is that the two teams have the highest fans in Nigeria.
