Man In Court Over Alleged Abduction

Osun State Police Command has arraigned a 24-year-old man, Olusegun Lukman before an Osogbo magistrate court over alleged abduction.

Lukman who was docked on a single count charge pleaded not guilty to the charge preferred against him.

The Prosecutor, Assistant Superintendent  of Police, Fagboyinbo Abiodun disclosed that the accused person abducted one Adeleke Eniola by taking her out of the custody of her father and mother without their consent.

Fagboyinbo explained

that the accused committed the alleged crime on September 10, 2018 at Okinni.

He said the offence is contrary to section 225 of the criminal code cap 34 vol. 11 law of Osun state, Nigeria 2003

The defence counsel prayed the court to grant the suspect bail in the most liberal and affordable terms.

Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. Fatimah Sodamade granted the accused person bail in the sum of N100,000 with one surety, adding that the surety must swear to an affidavit of means, and present three years tax clearance certificate.
