Man Docked For Assault

A 42 year-old man Badmus Femi has been arraigned before an Osogbo Magistrate Court for alleged assault.

According to the charge sheet, the accused is facing one count charge bothering on assault.

The prosecutor Inspector Jafani Muslim told the court that  the accused committed the offence on August 22 2018 at oke fia market Osogbo.

He said the accused injured one Adepoju Akinwusi using gas cylinder.

He submitted that the offence committed is contrary to and punishable under session 355 of the criminal code Cap.34 Vol. II law of Osun state of Nigeria 2003.

The accused pleaded not guilty to the count charge against him.

The defence counsel Sulaiman Akano humbly applied for the bail of the accused in most liberal terms.

The Magistrate, A.O Ajanaku granted the bail to the accused in the sum of N100,000 with one surety.

The surety must be a reliable person residing within the jurisdiction and his address must be verified by the prosecutor.

The case was adjourned to October 25 2018 for hearing.
