The Lagos State police command has confirmed that Olatunji Opadiran, a generator repairer committed suicide in his apartment at Morounfolu Street in the Ogba area of Lagos State on Monday, July 30th.
According to reports, Olatunji hung out with some of his friends that Monday evening and after eating and having fun, he asked to take his leave. His friends thought he was tired and needed to go and sleep. However on getting home, Tunji who was apparently depressed, tied a rope to his ceiling and hung himself.
One of his friends had stopped by his house to check on him before going home. After many knocks without an answer, Olatunji’s door was broken down and his dangling body was discovered.
Confirming the incident, the Lagos state police command spokesperson, Chike Oti, said the police was alerted at about 6pm on Monday. The body of the deceased has been deposited at the Ifako general hospital morgue.
