A magistrate court sitting in Osogbo has sentenced a 36 year-old man, Precious Ezenwa to 36 months imprisonment for alleged house breaking and stealing on Friday.
Ezenwa was arraigned before Magistrate Tunde Badmus on six counts charge that has to do with stealing of property.
The prosecutor, Inspector Tajudeen Mustapha told the court that the accused went to four hotels between 10 and 17th May 2017 with intent to steal.
He said the defendant did an unlawful burglary to Ripples hotel, Aenon suites hotel, Galaxy Hotel and Ideal nest hotel in Osogbo, capital of the state of Osun.
Tajudeen stated the stolen items by the defendant includes one HP laptop, 2 Infinix phones, power bank valued at N44,500 said to be properties of Aderigbe Sani Akinwumi and Muka Sidi which are offenses contrary to and punishable under section 411(1)(2) of criminal code of Osun state of Nigeria 2002.
Tajudeen added that the defendant was arrested by securitymen at Ideal nest hotel and take to Dada estate police station.
The accused person pleaded guilty of six counts charge.
Ruling, Magistrate Tunde Badmus sentenced the accused person to 3 years imprisonment without alternative of fine.
