Lawyers Donate Boreholes in Honour of Governor Akeredolu

The alumni of a law firm where the Governor of Ondo State, Mr Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN) was a principal partner has donated two boreholes to two different communities in Owo.

Olujimi & Akeredolu Law Firm alumni made the donations to Iwoye, a farming community around Zonal Headquarters of ADP and Methodist Grammar School, Owo High Court Area.

Speaking at the ceremony, an alumus of the Law Firm who is the former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Oyo State, Mr Ojo Adebayo said the project was  embarked upon to symbolically honour Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu and to appreciate the people of his country home for voting him as Governor of Ondo State.

Mr Adebayo said himself and his colleagues gained positive values and experience at the Olujimi & Akeredolu firm, such that they are now respected within the bar and the bench in Nigeria.

A representative of the Iwoye Community, Mr Olusanya Ogundele who appreciated the kindheartedness of the donors said the borehole would serve the water needs of the people.

The Acting Chief Judge of Ondo State, Honourable Justice, Olutoyin Akeredolu who expressed delight at the project described it as a rare gesture which could only have come from lives which have been positively impacted. She also noted that the act of giving back to the society is an appreciable way of serving humanity.

The Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, who commissioned the borehole projects for the use of the two communities appreciated the honour done him by the alumni of Olujimi & Akeredolu Law Firm.

He assured that he would continue to serve with the values of integrity synonymous with law practice with which everyone who had passed through Olujimi & Akeredolu Law Firm had been mentored.

Dignitaries at the ceremonies include: Hon. Justice N.S Adeyanju;  Secretary to the State Government, Hon Ifedayo Abegunde; Chief of Staff to the Governor, Chief Olugbenga Ale and the Honourable Commissioner for Commerce, Industries & Cooperatives, Hon Timehin Adelegbe;

Others are: Special Adviser to the Governor on Union Matters, Mr Alaba Isola, Chairman of Owo Local Government, Hon Ganiyu Omoluka; Chairman APC in Owo, Chief Sydney Ogunleye;  a friend of Mr Governor, Mr Wole Aina and about twenty members of the Alumni of Olujimi & Akeredolu Law Firm.
