Lagos Tribunal Upholds Sanwo-Olu’s Sanwo-Olu’s Election And Other Newspaper Headlines Today

The report on the Lagos election tribunal dismissing petitions of the Labour Party (LP) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and affirming Babajide Sanwo-Olu as the duly elected governor of the state, tops the cover pages of Nigerian dailies.

The Punch says President Bola Tinubu has reviewed documents submitted by the investigators who carried out a probe of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). The newspaper reports that the senate will screen Yemi Cardoso as the new CBN governor today.

 

The Nation reports that the federal government has announced Wednesday as a public holiday for the Eid-ul-Mawlid celebration. The newspaper says Lucky Ayedatiwa, deputy governor of Ondo, has filed a suit to halt his impeachment by the state assembly.
