Just In: Popular Radio Presenter, Sunday Alakinde Crushed to Death On Highway

Sunday Alakinde, a Radio presenter and Newscaster Sunday Alakinde of Uniq 103.1FM, Ilesa, is dead.

Alakinde, died in the early hours of today while trying to crossover at the Akure – Ilesha expressway

The Chairman of Osun State Chapter Of Freelance and Independent Broadcasters Association of Nigeria, FIBAN, Adekunle Abolade Dodoede revealed this on Monday morning.

He said, “Yes. Sunday Alakinde is gone. He had an accident around 3am today(Monday) at Akure Expressway while coming from Ijebu Ijesha where he had Concert. He was coming down to Ilesa because he had a program this morning (Newspaper Review). He wanted to cross down at Akure expressway, so a luxurious bus hit him.”

Friends and colleagues have taken to media in mourning the renowned broadcaster.
