Jimmy Carter Awarded Posthumous Grammy For Audiobook Narration

A posthumous Grammy Award for Best Audiobook Narration and Storytelling Recording was awarded to the late Jimmy Carter, the 39th President of the United States.
Carterβs audiobook, Last Sundays in Plains: A Centennial Celebration, showcases his final Sunday school lessons delivered in Georgia.
In these lessons, Carter reflects on topics like love, kindness, forgiveness, and the afterlife.
Released in August 2024, the audiobook also features music by artists including Darius Rucker, Jon Batiste, and LeAnn Rimes.

Carterβs grandson, Jason, accepted the Grammy on his behalf, commending the recognition of his grandfatherβs impactful work.
This marks Carterβs fourth Grammy win, following accolades for Faith β A Journey for All (2019), A Full Life: Reflections at 90 (2016), and Our Endangered Values: Americaβs Moral Crisis (2007).
Carter had been nominated for a total of ten Grammys and won four over the course of his career.
