The Kaduna Police Command has apprehended a suspected Kuje Prison escapee in Kaduna.
This was revealed by the Command’s Spokesperson, DSP Mohammed Jalige who said the suspect identified simply as Shuaibu was caught by the police operatives at a location in Kaduna while on transit to Kano, based on active intelligence.
According to him,“The suspect on preliminary investigation revealed that he was part of the inmates who escaped during the recent attack on the Kuje medium security correctional centre.”
Ayoku instructed that necessary protocols be employed before The Kaduna State Police Command has re-arrested a suspected Kuje Prison escapee, Ali Shuaibu, in the state.
The Command’s Spokesperson, DSP Mohammed Jalige, said the 60-year-old suspect was re-arrested by the police operatives at a location in Kaduna while on transit to Kano.
His arrest was based on active intelligence, DSP Jalige said.

Kaduna Commissioner of Police, CP Yekini A. Ayoku, instructed that necessary protocols be employed before handing the suspect over to the Nigerian Correctional Service for proper placement.
He admonished the officers not to relent in their efforts to effectively tackle all forms of crimes and criminality in critical areas of the state.
