Iyanya Leaves Mavin Records

Iyanya came into the music scene full-time after he won MTN Project Fame show that landed him a recording contract amongst other things. Although he didn’t rise to fame fast, his song ‘Love Truly’ was the heart melting song that gave him loyal fans.

Years later, Iyanya has had more hits than we can count and although he’s been on a low since he moved to Marvin, the fine man with tattoo and a special gift of waist movements have left marvin records.

In an interview with Beat FM the singer says “I’m now signed to Temple Music but I’m a Mavin for life. It was not a beef. I was there and it was time to move on.

I like to try new sounds, working with different producers, writers. The fan base has grown; I have fans here and abroad. Some people like the new sound but some people are stuck in the old sound. Shout out to Don Jazzy. He influenced my new sound.”

Temple Music houses Bisola, Jeff Akoh, 9ice, DJ Jimmy Jatt among others.
